Computer & Wireless Networks

All Computer Networks begin with a backbone.  The backbone is typically hardwired with Category 5E, Cat 6 or Cat 6A cable.  Category UTP cable has a maximum lengtht limit of just under 100 meters and has limited bandwidth capability.

Larger computer networks will require the use of a fiber optic cable backbone.  Although Fiber Optic Cable is more expensive then category 5E, 6 & 6A cable, it has many advantages and fewer limitations.   Next we add the horizontal cabling and a matrix of Ethernet Routers and switches to create the Local Area Network or LAN.   In a world with laptops, mobile devices and tablets, we rely heavily on Wireless Networks.  Wireless networks are made up of an array of Access Points also known to the industry as AP's.

The use of multiple enterprise level wireless access points can be very complex and must be strategically placed and properly configured in order to acquire the best coverage pattern. Security will also play a large role in wireless networks and must be set up correctly.  Let SOUND F/X design and install your next computer network or cable infrastructure.  We have been serving the greater Orlando area since 2005.
